The purpose of this blog is to give the unsung heroes of Shreveport’s food scene credit where credit is due. Sure, gumbo and crawfish have their place and will always be staples of our region’s cuisine. But Shreveport and Bossier City are home to an unexpected array of “other” dining establishments, from elegant trattorias to hole-in-the-wall taquerias. It is my sincere hope that I can encourage at least one reader to reach outside their culinary comfort zone and try out that unassuming place that they pass by daily.
